Chapter 5 Temporary workers
As we see in chapter 2 we see that the estimated that organizations are using over a million temporary workers,The flexibility, This is a sweet connection. I think this a very popular useful item, employers can use the people when they need them. or they can just not use them. The perks are a guy has job most of the time, and business have the ability to save money. I know in our business, we use temps all the time, works great.
Reflection 4
I enjoyed last class, the video clip that was shown was hilarious, however with that said, it does keep me in check how serious sexual harassment can be. My group always has beneficial insight.

Designing Jobs That Motivate
In every corporation there are jobs that need encouragement, Richard Hackman and Greg Oldman have developed some terms and characteristics that will help people in their business become more motivated.
If a person has few skills the last thing you want to do is put them in a place where they cannot survive, the overwhelming effect will occur, however with less skills a person work is a lot smaller of a whole, meaning not apart of there life or involved to the max.In this case these people have a much lesser impact on others. However those who are highly skilled and progress and can finish what they start seem to have a better impact others, other people see the freedom and success they have, this trait is very apparent .
I know all of us have felt these attributes in one way or another if it success or being at the bottom of the totem pole. However being at the bottom can sometimes help you to want to be higher and successful which lead to those feelings of success and possibly have major effects on people helping them to do better.

Reflection 3
I enjoyed the group meeting today, we discussed our articles and the some other topics. This may sound weird but I did find the discrimination to pregnant women kinda interesting, I really didn't think much about the effect it would have on a business, but its a huge deal. But honestly what came to mind was the movie Baby boomer, even though its not really the same thing, the company demoted her and told her go raise your child, we need a more focused individual. Anyway there were a bunch topics discussed that were interesting .

Reflection 2
Today in class we discussed a lot of different ideas,I remember thinking there a lot of problems in businesses today,I learned alot about how the world views their jobs and the people around them, I find it interesting that in every work place their are those people who do not want to share there info, or let people shadow them in what they do. We discussed in class that people have to train those who are coming up the line, or we will have empty or so to speak, holes in companies, and these companies will eventually fail.

How to Deal With a Negative Coworker: Negativity Matters
In the last few days we have been learning about Human Resources, I want to tell you about the article I read about. I found that the trend of negative people will re occur and re occur as you let it. When a co worker comes to you and has negative feedback listen and address the situation and see if what he is saying is legit. Once you addressed the problem, point them in a positive direction. If and when this co worker returns be careful not to let him or her talk your ear off or in other words don’t let them over stay there time, because they will. I also learned through reading this article that people tend to focus on the negative re-direct them to positive thinking.
Positive energy and negative energy. There is only so much energy a person has, so be careful in how much energy you spend on each person. Sometimes you have to have the courage to say I am moving on to more positive thinking. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into negative conversations, avoid negative thinking avoid negative things that allow you to stoop to that level.

Chapter 3 post
Chapter 3 post
Constitutional Amendments, There are two amendments mentioned in this chapter, the thirteenth and the fourteenth, from what I understand these amendments have implications for human resource management . From what I can see the thirteenth amendment was a life saver for the people who dealt with slavery, it is interesting to think of how much has changed ane may change in the years to come.
Secondly the fourteenth amendment another interesting topic I found as I was reading the chapte; as reads this amendment forbids the states from taking life , liberty ,or property without due process of law and prevent the states from denying equal protection of discrimination. I guess if any of you have any thoughts on these amendments it would be helpful for my understanding. In closing I want to give what I think is an example of the fourteenth amendment. If a person had been fired from a University or Government jobthey could file a claim under the fourteenth, however they would not have a case if they were fired by a private employer.

Reflection 1
looking back on class today I feel like I learned some important principles, I really enjoyed the Pikes fish clip, the importance of working together, it seemed that each worker was apart of this team they had built. I liked the fact that the boss loved his workers and they loved him, and it showed threw out the clip. Each person trying to help each other grow. Really pretty interesting, I kept thinking in my mind how can I make the company I work for like this. What they have done is pretty incrediable.

Where to start, this is my 1st time blogging I guess. So we will start with what I like to do. I'm not the type of person that sits on couch, I like to be active in the summer I cant get enough of being on the boat hanging out with friends and enjoying the natural vitamin D, wake boarding, skiing, surfing whatever it is it seems to always be fun. However with that said there are somethings that will take the fun out being on the boat; for example, last July I broke my leg wake boarding both bone below my knee were broken, while doing a back flip I learned quickly that cheep boots are not worth having, because only one foot came out the leverage of the board broke my left leg leaving me with 5 screws and a titanium rod in my leg, however now it is healed and I seem to have recovered 75% . OK enough about that, I like to do anything outside, and especially enjoy anything with a motor in it, if be a Jeep or rock buggy, or four wheeler jet ski, anything really. I especially love the winter for snowmobiling, even though this season is the worst I have ever seen. Now for what I do when I'm not breaking bones or having fun. I work for the family company, this company is a Excavating Company, it is called Reynolds Brothers Excavating, if you want to see what we do you can visit are web site Reynoldsbrothers.com. I work there as an estimator and project manager, this job is challenging and fun at times, and very hard at other times. When I'm not a school I'm at the gym or at home trying to stay caught up in school. That is just a little about me.
